Dr. Jessica Workman

Her Story
Jessica Workman earned her B.S. in Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego, in 2009. She then went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos in 2012. Jessica began her career in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Thousand Oaks before transitioning to a mixed outpatient orthopedic and neurological practice specializing in vestibular disorders in March 2014. In 2021 she became a Certified Functional Manual Therapist scoring honors recognition and began as a staff Physical Therapist at IPA Physio OC. She completed The Functional Manual Therapy Fellowship through the Institute of Physical Art and became a Fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2025. She is now the Team Lead of IPA Physio Long Beach.
With a focus on treating complex neurological, vestibular, and orthopedic conditions, she utilizes Functional Manual Therapy, Craniosacral Techniques, and Visceral Manipulation. She continues her in depth studies into treating a broad array of complex systems such as airway/sleep disorders, connective tissue disorders, postpartum conditions, concussions, and enhancing athletic performance. This continues to grow her passion for treating individuals with complex multisystem involvement, recognizing the unique challenges these patients face. Her approach centers on a holistic evaluation of the person, their environments and lives, collaborating closely with her patients, their physicians and loved ones to help them return to the activities and lifestyle that bring them joy.

Rebecca Smythe – Office Administrator

Her Story
Rebecca, a Huntington Beach native, has always embraced an active Southern California lifestyle. Growing up, she pursued a variety of sports, with a strong focus on competitive soccer and martial arts. She earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Art History/Administrative Studies from the University of California, Riverside, where she was deeply involved in community service. Her work included supporting K-12 children facing mental health challenges and volunteering at the campus garden to cultivate and distribute locally grown organic food.
With compassion and empathy at the core of her approach, Rebecca is dedicated to uniquely assisting others. She is excited to join the IPA Physio team and looks forward to making a meaningful impact.

Kendyl Leimpeter – Office Administrator

Her Story
Kendyl was born and raised in the Bay Area and recently relocated to Orange County. From a young age, she was involved in a variety of athletic and extracurricular activities, including competitive dance, soccer, and volleyball. Over time, she chose to focus on volleyball, competing at the club, beach, and high school levels.
Kendyl pursued her passion for health and human performance by earning a degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Chico, where she also completed a minor in Business Marketing. Her academic background allowed her to gain valuable experience working with athletes both on and off the court.
She brings a well-rounded perspective and a strong commitment to helping others, and is excited to be part of the team at IPA Physio.
