Dr. Jessica Workman

Jessica Workman Black-min

Her Story

Dr. Workman brings a rare blend of advanced clinical expertise and deeply personalized care to every patient she treats. After earning her degree in Physiology and Neuroscience from UC San Diego and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, Jessica has spent over a decade refining her ability to help people with complex, often unresolved conditions finally find answers and relief.

As a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT) and a Fellow of Functional Manual Therapy (FFMT), Jessica has completed some of the most rigorous advanced training available in physical therapy. She now serves as Partner and Clinical Director at IPA Physio Long Beach, where she is known for taking on challenging cases that require a higher level of clinical insight and whole-body understanding.

Jessica specializes in treating complex orthopedic, neurological, and vestibular conditions, using advanced techniques such as Functional Manual Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Visceral Manipulation. Her work extends beyond traditional physical therapy to address interconnected systems, including airway and sleep disorders, connective tissue conditions, postpartum recovery, concussion management, and performance optimization.

What truly sets Jessica apart is her commitment to seeing the full picture. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique story, lifestyle, and goals, recognizing that no two cases are the same. By collaborating closely with patients, their physicians, and support systems, she creates individualized treatment plans designed not just to reduce symptoms, but to restore confidence, function, and quality of life.

Jessica is especially passionate about helping individuals who feel like they have “tried everything” without success. Her approach is thoughtful, thorough, and deeply compassionate—focused on helping each person return to the activities that matter most to them.
