The Physio-Blog is a platform created to educate, motivate, empower and inspire individuals who seek a better understanding of health, wellness, pain and medical interventions. Our goal is to foster learning in a wellness culture that explores meaningful topics, promotes diverse discussion, and enhances our learning through sharing diverse points of view. The following are The Physio-Blog guidelines to support healthy community interactions.
Choose Your Words Wisely
The Physio Blog will not tolerate any rude, insulting, harassing slander, using offensive language, hostile intent, stalking or threatening behavior towards any user or moderator on this channel. No ifs, ands or buts here. Anyone violating this rule will be banned.
Discussions and comments with the sole purpose of antagonizing or provoking will be removed. Sexist, racist, misogynist, homophobic, and broad, offensive generalizations about groups of people are simply not allowed. This is a community intended to be friendly and open. We simply ask that you be respectful of each other and remain mindful of your audience.
Please be aware that comments on The Physio Blog are automatically filtered for profanity. We generally do not have an issue with curse words, however, if a comment is caught in the filter it will need to be freed by a moderator before it will appear in the comments section. Profanity used to insult, antagonize, or inflame will be deleted.
Religion and politics are completely off the table as possible themes for any discussions here. Neither are appropriate for the audience as it stands.
Provide Sources For Content That is Not Your Own
Please provide sources for content that is not your own. If you are posting a news article under or if you are referencing another article or discussion, provide a link to your source. Links to illegal downloads or content are prohibited.
“Spam” is the posting of unsolicited messages, generally advertising a product or service. “Spam” can also be repetitive posting that is meant to be disruptive. Either form of spam is prohibited. Please note that accounts that post advertising spam will be banned without warning.
Discussions and comments posted in languages other than English will be removed. We apologize for the inconvenience. This rule does not apply if you are using another language to make a point or using it colloquially rather than as primary communication.
No Sexual Content
The general rule of thumb, to keep it “PG-13” for all blog topics that are not related to sexual function. If there is a topic that covers the anatomy and physiology of sexual function, please keep comments professional. If a comment can be perceived as lewd and not professional, it will be removed.
Content of Discussions and Duplicate Discussions.
Content: discussions need to provide content and talking points. Have a topic in mind that will spark a conversation, provide your opinion on a subject, and/or present questions for the community to respond to.
Duplicate discussions: please take a second to glance at the recent discussions before starting a new comment thread. The moderators reserve the right to close duplicate threads If someone has already posted the same discussion within the last few days.
SANCTIONS AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION:
Warnings, Deletions, and Bans.
Generally, you can expect a warning, and a moderator will request that you review the rules before any moderation action is taken. Moderation action may be taken at the moderators’ discretion if a user persists in violating one of The Physio Blog’s rules after a warning is given. This may include deletion of comments. Users who continuously violate these guidelines or purposely disrupt the community may be banned from the participating in The Physio Blog.
If you have been banned by a mod, you can request for the ban to be lifted by contacting the channel owner via email at email@example.com. This is the only form of appeal that will be considered. Discussions started on other channels will not be considered as a request to have your ban lifted. Please be aware that all appeals will be discussed by the entire moderation team before a decision is made.
If you see a rule violation, please flag the comment. Comments that are flagged do not get automatically removed. Instead, flagged comments will be marked for a moderator’s review. Flagging comments allows moderators to do their job more efficiently and keep the community running smoothly. Please do not flag a comment just because you disagree. If a comment is flagged for review and it is not violating a rule, the comment will be approved.
