Dr. Jessica Workman

Her Story
Jessica Workman received her B.S in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego in 2009. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, San Marcos in 2012. She started her career in an outpatient orthopedic clinical residency program in Thousand Oaks. In March 2014, she moved to a mixed outpatient ortho/neuro practice specializing in vestibular disorders. Jessica has been treating patients with complex neurological and vestibular diagnoses as well as chronic orthopedic conditions while studying and practicing Functional Manual Therapy techniques and philosophies.
In August 2021, she passed her Certification in Functional Manual Therapy (CFMT) through the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) with Honors (>90% cumulative average), and is currently training in the Functional Manual Therapy Fellowship Program offered through IPA Physio Orange County. Her philosophy is centered around evaluation of the whole person; working as a team with her patients to ensure they return to the activities which bring them joy.

Rebecca Smythe – Office Administrator

Her Story
Rebecca, a Huntington Beach native, has always embraced an active Southern California lifestyle. Growing up, she pursued a variety of sports, with a strong focus on competitive soccer and martial arts. She earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Art History/Administrative Studies from the University of California, Riverside, where she was deeply involved in community service. Her work included supporting K-12 children facing mental health challenges and volunteering at the campus garden to cultivate and distribute locally grown organic food.
With compassion and empathy at the core of her approach, Rebecca is dedicated to uniquely assisting others. She is excited to join the IPA Physio team and looks forward to making a meaningful impact.

Kendyl Leimpeter – Office Administrator

Her Story
Kendyl was born and raised in the Bay Area and recently relocated to Orange County. From a young age, she was involved in a variety of athletic and extracurricular activities, including competitive dance, soccer, and volleyball. Over time, she chose to focus on volleyball, competing at the club, beach, and high school levels.
Kendyl pursued her passion for health and human performance by earning a degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Chico, where she also completed a minor in Business Marketing. Her academic background allowed her to gain valuable experience working with athletes both on and off the court.
She brings a well-rounded perspective and a strong commitment to helping others, and is excited to be part of the team at IPA Physio.
