Jill’s Story
After slipping off our raised garden bed and tweaking my foot into a Grade 2 sprain, I immediately booked an appointment with Foster at IPA Physio. Previously, I had the good fortune to meet him in Steamboat Springs, Colorado after an unfortunate surgery. He got me back on the road to healing, playing outdoors – like we did in the Rockies year-round, and of course, back to work, which is in my case: writing.
I was very happy when I discovered that he had relocated to Portland, Oregon after my recent foot injury. What luck! I have gone to many physical therapists over the decades of being a rather competitive athlete. After blowing out my ACL, I was back to skiing six months later – thanks to this incredible and hands-on care.

The IPA Physio Difference!
Other PTs tend to watch you walk and provide a list of home exercises to do. Foster works you and in a very good way. He looks at the entire leg, not just the foot, to make sure all is working well and getting better with each visit. This is what I believe physical therapy should be – the whole body in alignment and working. He also made suggestions to enhance my treatment and help speed up the healing with supportive measures, which I appreciated. I prefer to be moving and playing and now was again back on my bike at just 4 weeks and am looking forward to tennis and shooting hoops again once I hit 8 weeks.
